A Self-Sustaining Brand Built by Global Talents — The Story of DalbitSol's Solmates
Share
DalbitSol began with a personal struggle.
Our founder, Jung Eunji, faced skin challenges brought on by pregnancy and childbirth. What started as a journey to solve a personal issue gradually evolved into a brand—and along the way, unexpected connections and encounters came together to form the team we now call DalbitSol.
Started Alone, But Built Together
Suddenly jumping from talking about skincare entrepreneurship over to “self-sufficiency” and our “global team members” may seem abrupt. But this is exactly what defines DalbitSol, and that’s why we want to share this part first.
My husband’s years living abroad helped him form valuable connections across countries, and through running an academy, I too met many meaningful people. These relationships became the foundation that allowed the DalbitSol project to come to life. No matter how genuine my story was or how diligently I studied marketing and product development, we still needed actual sales channels to grow.
Even entering the domestic market wasn’t easy—but exporting abroad felt overwhelming. That’s why many beauty brands are investing heavily in overseas business teams these days and prefer language experts or global talents over traditional beauty industry veterans.
"Solmate" — Friends Who Shine Together
That’s how we began leveraging our strengths and built our first informal team, nicknamed “Team Seohyun,” simply because our meetings often took place near Seohyun Station. It was where so much of our brand identity was born.
After finalizing the brand name DalbitSol, we wanted a team name that felt just as meaningful. That’s when Solmate was born—a blend of “Sol” from DalbitSol and “mate,” reflecting not a top-down corporate structure, but a team of true friends and colleagues.
Our Solmate team now includes members from Korea, the United States, Colombia, Mexico, and Australia. This international composition isn’t just a coincidence—it reflects our core philosophy: being a self-sufficient company.
The Power of Self-Sufficiency — A Brand Built From Within
We minimize outsourcing and aim to accomplish as much as possible within our team. This is possible not just because we have a global team, but because each member is highly skilled in their field.
From content planning, production, photography, product page design, to building our own website—everything is created collaboratively by myself and our Solmates. Passion and dedication in each person’s area of expertise is what drives DalbitSol forward. I truly believe that this synergy will light up our brand’s future.
There is nothing more important than teamwork. When we put our people first and build a win-win relationship, that energy naturally reaches our customers.
Meet the People Behind DalbitSol
Jung Eunji, Founder
As the founder, I oversee product planning, development, and domestic marketing. I also handle Korean content creation and guide our brand’s overall visual direction. (I actually majored in a field completely unrelated to design, but learned the basics through self-study while running an academy.)
Like many small business owners, everything ends up being my responsibility. And you may ask: what is the toughest task I have? Deciding on meals when dining with our multicultural Solmates! (Trust me—it’s harder than it sounds.)
Kyeongmo, Director
Our first Solmate, Kyeongmo, is in charge of finance, photography, and the entire overseas division. He also manages our website. From product shoots to behind-the-scenes content and post-production edits, he handles it all. He’s also the powerfully organized ‘J’ that balances out my chaotic ‘P’ personality. Without him, things would not run nearly as smoothly.
Niki, Global Marketing Lead (USA)
Niki is our U.S. representative and head of global marketing. From ecommerce strategy and buyer outreach to reference research, she builds our overseas sales, socials and marketing infrastructure. Her strong marketing background gives us valuable insights, and she often helps guide Kyeongmo and I in developing our global approach.
Scarlett, LATAM Marketing (Colombia)
Scarlett leads our Latin American marketing efforts. Based in Colombia, she handles everything from YouTube filming/editing for our Spanish channel “Daily DalbitSol,” to running our Spanish-language Instagram, market research, and even regulatory work for Colombian certifications—with help from other local Solmates she’s brought on board.
Casey, Marketing Coordinator (Australia)
Casey oversees our marketing efforts in Australia. She’s a regular on our “Daily DalbitSol” channel and co-manages our social media with Scarlett. Whenever we need help with local certifications or official documentation in Australia, Casey takes the lead.
Diego, LATAM Marketing (Mexico)
Diego leads marketing for Mexico. He also frequently appears on “Daily DalbitSol” and works closely with Scarlett on Spanish-language projects, certification processes, and documentation for the Mexican market.
A Brighter Future Together
Writing this out reminds me just how fortunate I am to work with such talented people. I’m filled with gratitude—and a renewed sense of responsibility.
Thanks to these amazing Solmates who are supporting such a young startup like ours, I’m more motivated than ever to make DalbitSol’s launch a success.
What began as a personal journey sparked by changes in my skin after pregnancy has now become a meaningful brand powered by a global team. Together, we hope to bring DalbitSol’s mission to more people around the world:
To create products gentle enough for your own face—and safe enough for your child’s.
We’ll keep walking this path hand in hand, together.
